Christmas Events
The Stanwick Lakes Santa Run
Sunday 3rd December 2023
This event is ideal for the recreational runner perhaps entering a run for the first time or the competitive runner looking to start their training for next year or even if you’re looking to get into the Christmas spirit early!
For those who have not run here before – it is the ideal running course with purpose built tracks and the additional feature of being on a nature reserve with stunning views. There are three separate distances to choose from – 5K, 10K and Half Marathon

Previous Festvities
Santa’s Grotto
Bring your little ones to this lovely festive event at Stanwick Lakes this Christmas season. Children will get to make their own natural Christmas decoration and meet Santa himself in his beautiful traditional barn.
Individual, Group and Quiet Santa Sessions available.
You may also be able to drop in to see Santa without booking ahead (subject to availability), please ask at the visitor centre front desk. Contact us to book and avoid disappointment.
Festive Menu
Available from late November throughout December.
Book a table for your festive celebration with colleagues or friends and if you book for 20 or more guests – we will give you a private room for free (subject to availability).

Lantern Walk & Lakeside Christmas Carols
A magical walk around Solstice Lake and carols in our outdoor theatre with the Raunds Temperance Band.
Festive food and refreshments will be available to purchase from 5:00 pm and entertainment will be provided by the Stanwick Lakes Choir.
Procession starts at 6.00pm, Carols at 6.30pm in the amphitheatre. Please wrap up warm and bring a torch or lantern to walk with (perhaps you made one at our Lantern workshops in Autumn half term).
The car park will be free to ticket holders on the evening of this event.
A Viking Yule
A winter’s evening of music and entertainment with The Bifrost Guard Viking re-enactors.
With dressing up, craft activities, live fights and a tug of war there will be plenty for the family to enjoy. Warming food and refreshments will be available throughout the evening and you’ll be able to get up close and personal with real life Vikings! The celebration’s climax will be a procession around our fire-lit Solstice Lake, finishing at our outdoor theatre for a flaming finale!
Come dressed as a Viking for the chance to win a prize – for both children and adults. There will be FREE activities for children including Viking shield and Solstice wheel making.
